Our passion

Covid-19 opened our eyes. The true epidemic is in our children’s education, with fixed mindsets and poor motivation to learn becoming normalized for generation after generation. Our children are now digital natives, but many children are still being left behind.

We asked ourselves, with our collective knowledge, expertise, and experience, how we could create a lasting positive impact for global society, now and in the future.

Our research found that while EdTech products cover what to learn, there is little emphasis on how to learn. The intrinsic motivation to learn holds the key to all child development. Thus is our focus in Dreamscapes Edtech.

Our Dream

Through our Eternal Earth Guardians product, we aim to transform the fundamental process of learning into an intrinsically enjoyable and rewarding experience.

We stand on the shoulders of giants in the Learning Sciences. Carol Dweck’s extensive research on growth mindsets, Ryan and Deci’s widely adopted self-determination theory, and Marc Prensky’s methodologies for designing for digital natives, are our sources for inspiration and growth.

We know this will be a journey with many challenges. But we are excited by the process and eventual success in our journey.

Ivan Gerard Khoo

Spent over 15 years in advertising and audio/video production, where he led as the Head of the Audio/Visual Department at Bates Malaysia. He took content creation to the next level with the founding of audio and video production companies that evolved into a record label and renown production studios.

As the visionary behind Ministry XR, he’s a regional leader in spatial computing solutions, forming strategic partnerships and earning features in 100+ media outlets. Now, at the helm of our game-based education venture, Ivan directs company strategy, ensuring financial success, operational excellence, and top-tier product quality.

Andrew Yew, PhD

Andrew Yew, our dedicated Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, holds a Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore, contributing significantly to immersive and emerging technologies. With peer-reviewed publications spanning 2011 to 2020, his research delved into AI, blockchain, and IoT applications in manufacturing, healthcare, robotics, and education.

As the Co-Founder and CTO of Ministry XR, Andrew led over 50 acclaimed immersive tech projects. Beyond our walls, he’s judged Kancil awards, served as a VR/AR Association Chapter President, and conducted seminars across Asia. At our company, Andrew plays a pivotal role, overseeing product development, technology strategy, IT management, and ensuring the security and data privacy of our game-based education product.

Dato' Shafri

Dato’ Shafri, our Executive Chairman and Co-founder, is a visionary leader with a diverse academic background in fine arts, psychology, and children’s literature. With over 30 years in advertising, including a stint as President at Bates Malaysia, he earned accolades like the Cannes Advertising Awards and secured major accounts like Petronas and Malaysia Airlines.

Since 2000, he’s been a dynamic entrepreneur in advertising, tourism, architecture, and logistics. Conferred with the title of Dato’ in 2009, he also serves as an advisory board member at Multimedia University (MMU) Malaysia. As our organizational mentor, Dato’ Shafri guides management, leads evangelism/PR, and shapes our marketing strategy. His influence extends, particularly in government circles, propelling our game-based education product to new heights.
